Ballan District Health & Care is governed by a Board of Governance, the members of which are volunteers drawn from leadership roles within the corporate and social sectors of the community. The skills-based volunteer members of the Board of Governance oversee the strategic direction of Ballan District Health & Care.


Lyn Gunnell, Board President (2007)

Lyn has worked in the health industry for nearly 30 years. Her professional experience began in nursing and evolved into executive management positions across the Asia Pacific Region.

Robert Eskdale  

Robert Eskdale, Senior Vice President (1981)

Robert has been on the Board of Governance for 36 years and is a BDHC Life Governor. In his professional life, he is a consultant engineer, town planner and project manager.

Jacqui Sfetcopoulos

Jacqueline Sfetcopoulos, Junior Vice President (2014)

Jacqueline is a local business woman who is actively involved in the community and is Secretary of the Ballan & District Chamber of Commerce.

Ian Boyle  

Ian Boyle, Treasurer

Ian has been a BDHC Board of Governance member for 15 years. He is a public accountant operating in the local region.

Caron Whitefield  

Caron Whitefield (2015)

Caron Whitefield has a background in nursing. She has worked in the Health and Community sector and for many years in Funeral and Bereavement Service.

Nick Sher  

Nick Sher (2013)

Nick is the Managing Director of Beefcorp Australia, which produces Sher Wagyu Beef. Beefcorp exports to 15 countries.

Paul Tatchell (2017)

Paul commenced his career in the army before going into business. He has been in business for 37 years and is the Central Ward Councillor and Mayor of Moorabool Shire.


Rowena Clift (2017)

Rowena has worked in healthcare for over 25 years. She has held a variety of executive positions in both acute and primary care.
